How Does a Bill Become a Law? |

In this case, HB1453 became a law because a coalition of dedicated individuals and legislative champions spent
three years educating and advocating for children with cancer in Indiana. Their persistence paid off—Governor Mike Braun signed this small but mighty piece of legislation into law!
This marks a
significant victory for children with cancer and the advocates who have fought tirelessly to bring attention to their needs.
These efforts in Indiana are already having a ripple effect across other states. The momentum generated by this success—combined with our active involvement in CAC2 (Coalition Against Childhood Cancer)—is opening doors for new collaborations. We’re proud to support and join efforts led by passionate advocates across the country who are working toward similar progress!

the Indiana Pediatric Sarcoma Summit,
the Pediatric Renal Cancer Roundtable,
and the
first-ever State of Sarcoma at CureFest.

expedite precision-driven medicine and help childhood cancer survivors thrive. |
